James Poindexter 
James was born about 1762 in Louisa Co., VA and his baptism took place on July 1st, 1801. James' father was Thomas Poindexter and his mother was Lucy Jones. His paternal grandparents were John P. Poindexter and Christian Gossage. He had seven brothers and three sisters, named John, Gabriel Jones, Thomas, Richard Jones, Robert, William, George, Elizabeth Jones, Lucy Jones and Molly. He was the fourth oldest of the eleven children. He died in 1843 in Louisa Co., VA.-
