Thomas Poindexter 
Thomas was born about 1730 in Louisa Co., VA. Thomas' father was John P. Poindexter and his mother was Christian Gossage. His paternal grandparents were Thomas Poindexter and Sarah Crawford; his maternal grandparents were Richard Gossage and Sarah Shelton. He had three brothers and four sisters, named John, William, Richard, Elizabeth Ann, Sarah, Anne Gissage and Frances. He was the second oldest of the eight children. He died on January 1st, 1796 in Franklin, Kentucky.-
