Richard Poindexter 
Richard was born about 1734. Richard's father was John P. Poindexter and his mother was Christian Gossage. His paternal grandparents were Thomas Poindexter and Sarah Crawford; his maternal grandparents were Richard Gossage and Sarah Shelton. He had three brothers and four sisters, named John, Thomas, William, Elizabeth Ann, Sarah, Anne Gissage and Frances. He was the fourth oldest of the eight children.-
