Sarah Poindexter 
Sarah was born about 1744. Sarah's father was John P. Poindexter and her mother was Christian Gossage. Her paternal grandparents were Thomas Poindexter and Sarah Crawford; her maternal grandparents were Richard Gossage and Sarah Shelton. She had four brothers and three sisters, named John, Thomas, William, Richard, Elizabeth Ann, Anne Gissage and Frances. She was the third youngest of the eight children.-
