George Poindexter 
George was born in 1779 in Louisa Co., VA. George's father was Thomas Poindexter and his mother was Lucy Jones. His paternal grandparents were John P. Poindexter and Christian Gossage. He had seven brothers and three sisters, named John, Gabriel Jones, Thomas, James, Richard Jones, Robert, William, Elizabeth Jones, Lucy Jones and Molly. He was the youngest of the eleven children. He died at the age of 74 in 1853 in Jackson, Mississippi.-
