Joseph and Ann were married in a religious ceremony in 1850.  They had six sons and five daughters, named James, Enoch, Joseph, Edwin C, Charles, Frank, Elizabeth, Sarah Elizabeth, Kate, Esther Ann and Ruth.

Esther Ann was born in 1862 in Boston Spa, Yorkshire, England.3   She died at the age of 66 in December 1928.
