Mrs Patience Doane

Patience was born in April 1682 in Eastham.¹ Patience's father was Mr Ephraim Doane and her mother was Mrs Mercy Mary Knowles. Her paternal grandparents were Mr John Doane and Abigail; her maternal grandparents were Mr Richard Knowles and Mrs Ruth Bower. She had four brothers and three sisters, named Hezekiah, Thomas, Ebenezer, Nehemiah, Patience, Apphia and Ruhama. She was the seventh oldest of the eight children.
