Mr Nehemiah Doane

Nehemiah was born in August 1680 in Eastham.¹ Nehemiah's father was Mr Ephraim Doane and his mother was Mrs Mercy Mary Knowles. His paternal grandparents were Mr John Doane and Abigail; his maternal grandparents were Mr Richard Knowles and Mrs Ruth Bower. He had three brothers and four sisters, named Hezekiah, Thomas, Ebenezer, Patience, Apphia, Patience and Ruhama. He was the sixth oldest of the eight children. He died due to a childhood disease at the age of 3 in February 1684.¹
