Mr Ephraim Doane

Ephraim was born in 1645 in Plymouth.¹ Ephraim's father was Mr John Doane and his mother was Abigail. His paternal grandparents were Mr John Doane and Lydia. He died at the age of 55 in 1700 in Eastham.¹

General Notes
- At one time he and others were fined twenty-five shillings each for trading in liquor with Indians, and later he and another were fined fifty shillings each for permitting Indians to have liquor in their boats. Subsequently he was again before Court for other offenses.
  
  "...settled in Eastham and took oath of fidelity in 1670...admitted a freeman 6/5/1684...a surveyor of highways in Eastham in 1691-92...his will was dated 12/7/1699 and proved 4/19/1700..."
