Sarah was born on March 16th, 1744 in Ashton On Mersey, Cheshire, England.  Sarah's father was John MARSLAND and her mother was Mary WILLIAMSON.  She had five brothers and five sisters, named Robert, John, Edward, Edward, James, Mary, Elizabeth, Rachel, Mary and Betty.  She was the oldest of the eleven children.
