Elizabeth was born on January 3rd, 1748 in Ashton On Mersey, Cheshire, England.  Elizabeth's father was John MARSLAND and her mother was Mary WILLIAMSON.  She had five brothers and five sisters, named Robert, John, Edward, Edward, James, Sarah, Mary, Rachel, Mary and Betty.  She was the fourth oldest of the eleven children.
