Rachel was born on October 31st, 1750 in Ashton On Mersey, Cheshire, England.  Rachel's father was John MARSLAND and her mother was Mary WILLIAMSON.  She had five brothers and five sisters, named Robert, John, Edward, Edward, James, Sarah, Mary, Elizabeth, Mary and Betty.  She was the fifth oldest of the eleven children.
