Betty was born on March 7th, 1757 in Ashton On Mersey, Cheshire, England.  Betty's father was John MARSLAND and her mother was Mary WILLIAMSON.  She had five brothers and five sisters, named Robert, John, Edward, Edward, James, Sarah, Mary, Elizabeth, Rachel and Mary.  She was the eighth oldest of the eleven children.
