Mary was born on January 27th, 1755 in Ashton On Mersey, Cheshire, England.  Mary's father was John MARSLAND and her mother was Mary WILLIAMSON.  She had five brothers and five sisters, named Robert, John, Edward, Edward, James, Sarah, Mary, Elizabeth, Rachel and Betty.  She was the seventh oldest of the eleven children.
