Elizabeth was born on September 16th, 1295 in Tewksbury, Gloucester, England.  Elizabeth's father was Gilbert the Red de Clare and her mother was Joan of Acre Plantagenet.  Her paternal grandparents were Richard de Clare and Maude de Lacy; her maternal grandparents were Edward I Longshanks Plantagenet of England and Eleanor of Castile & Leon. She had a brother and two sisters, named Gilbert, Eleanor (Alinore) and Margaret. She had two half-brothers and four half-sisters, named Edward, Thomas, Joan, Isabella, Mary and Joan.  She died at the age of 65 on November 4th, 1360.  She was buried in 1360 in Minoresses' Convent Aldgate, London, England.


Elizabeth's first family with John de Burgh

‌Elizabeth and John were married in a religious ceremony on September 13th, 1308 in Waltham Abbey, Essex, England.  They had a son named William the Brown Earl.


Elizabeth's second family with Roger Damory

‌Elizabeth and Roger were married in a religious ceremony on May 3rd, 1317.  They had a daughter named Elizabeth.


Elizabeth's third family with Theobald de Verdon

‌Elizabeth and Theobald were married in a religious ceremony in Near Bristol, England.  They had a daughter named Isabella.
