Richard FitzRoger was born in Tunbridge Castle, Kent, England.  Richard FitzRoger's father was Roger the Good de Clare and his mother was Maud de St. Hilary du Harcourt.  His paternal grandparents were Richard FitzGilbert de Clare and Alice de Gernons le Meschines of Chester; his maternal grandparents were James de St. Hillary du Harcourt and UNKNOWN Aveline. He had four brothers and two sisters, named James, Henry, John, Roger, Mabel and Aveline. He had a half-brother and a half-sister, named William V d'Aubigny and Agnes (Avice).  He died on November 28th, 1217.


Richard FitzRoger's family with Amicia FitzRobert of Gloucester

‌Richard FitzRoger and Amicia FitzRobert of were married in a religious ceremony about 1180.  They had two sons and two daughters, named Richard (Roger), Gilbert the Younger, Joan and Maud (Matilda).
