Thibaud IV of Blois was born about 1082 in Blois, Orleanais, France.  Thibaud IV of Blois' father was Ct. Etienne III of Blois (The sage) and his mother was Adela of Normandy.  His paternal grandparents were Ct. Thibaud III of Blois and Alix of Crepi; his maternal grandparents were King William I of England (The Conqueror) and Mathildeof Flandres. He had a sister named Lithuise of Blois.  He was the older of the two children. He had a half-sister named Emme of Blois.  He died in Ligny.

‌Thibaud IV of Blois and Maud of Carinthia were married in a religious ceremony in 1126.  They had a daughter named Marie of Champagne.
