Kitty was born in 1912 in Ballygalda.  Kitty's father was Patrick Larkin and her mother was Catherine Brennan.  Her paternal grandparents were John Larkin and Margaret Connor; her maternal grandparents were John Brennan and Ellen Quigley. She had five brothers and four sisters, named John, Jim, Paddy, Tommy, Willie, Margaret, Maureen, Lena and Brigid.  She was the fifth youngest of the ten children.  She died at the age of 85 on January 1st, 1997.
