Patrick was born on February 3rd, 1871 in Ballygalda and his baptism took place on February 16th, 1871 at Roscommon and Kilteevan.  His godfather was Patrick Cox and his godmother was Bridget Larkin. Patrick's father was John Larkin and his mother was Margaret Connor.  His paternal grandparents were James Larkin and Mary Garvey. He had five brothers and a sister, named Micheal, Thomas, Timothy, James, William and Mary.  He was the fourth oldest of the seven children.  He died at the age of 84 on January 29th, 1956.
