Brigid was born in 1921 in Ballygalda.  Brigid's father was Patrick Larkin and her mother was Catherine Brennan.  Her paternal grandparents were John Larkin and Margaret Connor; her maternal grandparents were John Brennan and Ellen Quigley. She had five brothers and four sisters, named John, Jim, Paddy, Tommy, Willie, Margaret, Maureen, Lena and Kitty.  She was the youngest of the ten children.  She died at the age of 85 on December 28th, 2006 in Cloverhill Nursing Home.  The funeral took place on December 30th, 2006 in the Sacred Heart Church.  She was buried on December 30th, 2006 at the Athleague cemetary.1 1
