Della was born on February 15th, 1892 in Illinois. Della's father was Allen Decatur Webb and her mother was Mary Ann Springer (Webb). Her paternal grandparents were Addison J. Webb and Wilmouth Griffin Harder (Webb). She had two brothers and four sisters, named Harry, Tracy, Blanche, Ferne, Lucile and Minnie. She was the fourth oldest of the seven children. She had a half-brother and two half-sisters, named Emerson, Hattie and Lillie.
