Abraham was born in 1817 in Waarder.1  Abraham's father was Cornelis Abrahamszn Hoogendoorn and his mother was Annigje Cornelisdr Verdouw.  His paternal grandparents were Abraham Dirkszn Hoogendoorn and Neeltje Cornelisdr de Haan. He had a brother and five sisters, named Cornelis, Marrigje, Marrigje, Marrigje, N.N. and Margje.  He was the oldest of the seven children. He had nine half-brothers and three half-sisters, named Arij, Jan, Gerrit, N.N., Gerrit, Gerrit, Jacob, Jacob, Floris, Aaltje, Aaltje and Jannigje.  He died at the age of 78 on January 24th, 1895 in Woubrugge.1
