Hagen Gerritszn was born in April 1675 in Waarder and his baptism took place there on April 3rd, 1675.1  Hagen Gerritszn's father was Gerrit Jan Hagenszn Hoogendoorn and his mother was Marigje Jan Pancken van der Laan.  His paternal grandparents were Jan Gerritszn Hoogendoorn and Grietje Jansdr N.N.; his maternal grandparents were Jan Pancraeszn van der Laan and Annigje Jansdr Ouwejan. He had five brothers and four sisters, named Jan Gerritszn, Claas Gerritszn, Claes Gerritszn, Dirk Gerritszn, Jan Gerritszn, Marichie Gerritsdr, Marrigje Gerritsdr, Annigje Gerritsdr and Grietje Gerritsdr.  He was the sixth oldest of the ten children. He had two half-brothers and two half-sisters, named Cleas Gerritszn, Jan Gerritszn, Grietje Gerritsdr and Aeltje Gerritsdr.  He died at the age of 33 on April 29th, 1708 in Waarder.2
