Emma was born in 1863.1  Emma's father was David Frow and her mother was Dorcas Frow.  Her maternal grandparents were John Frow and Ann Towl. She had five brothers and three sisters, named David, Henry, Mark, George, Frederick, Mary, Harriet and Ellen.  She was the fifth oldest of the nine children. She had two half-brothers named John and James.

Emma's family

Emma and William were married in a religious ceremony in 1885.  They had a son named Sidney.
