Sidney was born in 1889 in Barton upon Humber.1  Sidney's father was William Dixon and his mother was Emma Frow.  His maternal grandparents were David Frow and Dorcas Frow.  He was an only child.  He died at the age of 71 on June 7th, 1960 at 32 Holydyke.2

Sidney and Alice were married in a religious ceremony in 1919.1   They had a son and three daughters, named George, Eileen, Evelyn and Freda.
