Jane was born in 1810 in Oakley, Hampshire and her christening took place there on September 2nd, 1810.1 2   Jane's father was Peter Oliver and her mother was Sarah Worte.  Her paternal grandparents were William Oliver and Anna Decker. She had seven brothers and three sisters, named Isaac, Peter, Abraham, George, John, James, George, Kezia, Sarah and Mary.  She was the third youngest of the eleven children.
