George was born in 1803 in Oakley, Hampshire and his christening took place there on August 21st, 1803.1 2   George's father was Peter Oliver and his mother was Sarah Worte.  His paternal grandparents were William Oliver and Anna Decker. He had six brothers and four sisters, named Isaac, Peter, Abraham, John, James, George, Kezia, Sarah, Jane and Mary.  He was the sixth oldest of the eleven children.
