George was born in 1813 in Oakley, Hampshire and his christening took place there on March 23rd, 1813.1 2   George's father was Peter Oliver and his mother was Sarah Worte.  His paternal grandparents were William Oliver and Anna Decker. He had six brothers and four sisters, named Isaac, Peter, Abraham, George, John, James, Kezia, Sarah, Jane and Mary.  He was the second youngest of the eleven children.
