Louisa Elizabeth New

Louisa was born in June 1877 in Southampton, Hampshire.¹ Louisa's father was Henry William New and her mother was Anne Amelia Gannaway. Her maternal grandparents were Thomas Joseph Gannaway and Susan Devine. She had three brothers and seven sisters, named Henry, Albert, John, Florence, Edith, Ann, Christabel, Grace, Dorothy and Ruth. She was the third oldest of the eleven children. She had two half-sisters named Ann and Lydia.
