Jane Ann Groves

Jane was born in March 1857 in Ventnor, Isle of Wight and her christening took place there on March 29th, 1857.¹² Jane's father was James Groves and her mother was Ann Francis. Her paternal grandparents were William Groves and Jane Barnett. She had two brothers and a sister, named Alfred, William and Elizabeth. She was the youngest of the four children. She had a half-brother and a half-sister, named Henry and Henrietta. She died at 6 months old in September 1857 in Ventnor, Isle of Wight.³
