Peterina's father was Peter Turner and her mother was Catherine Stewart.  Her paternal grandparents were John Turner and Janet Marshall. She had a brother and seven sisters, named John, Janet, Mary, Catharine, Agnes, Annie, Margaret and Isabella.  She was the youngest of the nine children.  She died at the age of 42 on August 19th, 1904 in Edinburgh.  She was buried in Edinburgh.^3 4 5
