William Hunter

William was born in April 1806 in Uphall and his baptism took place there on May 11th, 1806.¹²

William's father was David Hunter and his mother was Alison Thomson. His maternal grandparents were Archibald Thomson and Alison Smeal. He had seven brothers and a sister, named Archibald, David, Andrew, James, Thomas, Mason, John and Alison. He was the second oldest of the nine children. He died at the age of 84 in 1890 in Aberdour.
