David Hunter

David was born on May 29th, 1808 in Uphall and his baptism took place there on June 19th, 1808.

David's father was David Hunter and his mother was Alison Thomson. His maternal grandparents were Archibald Thomson and Alison Smeal. He had seven brothers and a sister, named Archibald, William, Andrew, James, Thomas, Mason, John and Alison. He was the third oldest of the nine children.
