James Hunter

James was born on February 4th, 1813 in Uphall and his baptism took place there on March 7th, 1813.

James' father was David Hunter and his mother was Alison Thomson. His maternal grandparents were Archibald Thomson and Alison Smeal. He had seven brothers and a sister, named Archibald, William, David, Andrew, Thomas, Mason, John and Alison. He was the fifth oldest of the nine children.
