Lawrence Aitken

Lawrence was born in 1843 in Irvine.¹   Lawrence's father was James Aitken and his mother was Janet Aird.  His maternal grandparents were Thomas Aird and Helen Crawford. He had four brothers and four sisters, named James, Thomas, John, Matthew, Nancy, Elisabeth, Ellennora and Janet.  He was the youngest of the nine children.  He died due to a respiratory problem and/or pneumonia, Pthysis, pulmonary, at the age of 51 on September 21st, 1894 in Glasgow.²
