Thomas Aitken

Thomas was born in 1833 in Irvine.^1 2   Thomas' father was James Aitken and his mother was Janet Aird.  His maternal grandparents were Thomas Aird and Helen Crawford. He had four brothers and four sisters, named James, John, Matthew, Lawrence, Nancy, Elisabeth, Ellennora and Janet.  He was the fourth oldest of the nine children.
