Janet Aitken

Janet was born in 1835 in Ayrshire.¹   Janet's father was James Aitken and her mother was Janet Aird.  Her maternal grandparents were Thomas Aird and Helen Crawford. She had five brothers and three sisters, named James, Thomas, John, Matthew, Lawrence, Nancy, Elisabeth and Ellennora.  She was the fourth youngest of the nine children.
