Ellen Aird 
Ellen was born in 1787 in Portpatrick.1 Ellen's father was Thomas Aird and her mother was Helen Crawford. She had two brothers and six sisters, named James, John, Sarah, Elizabeth, Janet, Margaret, Lawrance and Janet. She was the second oldest of the nine children.
