Benjamin Bud was born on April 14th, 1844. Benjamin Bud's father was James Bud Allen and his mother was Nancy McNutt. His paternal grandparents were Martin C. Allen and Elizabeth Vice; his maternal grandparents were Robert Blaine ,Major McNutt and Mary Polly Jackson. He had two brothers and four sisters, named William Barrett Travis, Joseph Warren, Mary Elizabeth, Martha Matilda, Louisa and Eliza Jane. He has a half-brother named Winfield Scott.-
