Isabel was born about 1307 in Berkeley, Gloucestershire, England. Isabel's father was Maurice the Magnanimous de Berkeley and her mother was Eva la Zouche. Her paternal grandparents were Thomas the Wise de Berkeley and Margaret (Joane) de Ferrers; her maternal grandparents were Eudo la Zouche and Millicent de Cantelou. She had five brothers and a sister, named Maurice de Berkeley of, Eudo, John, Peter, Thomas the Rich and Millicent (Ela). She died on July 25th, 1362.General Notes
