David was born in 1144 in Huntingdon, Huntingdonshire, England.  David's father was Henry Prince of Scotland and his mother is Ada De Warenne.  His paternal grandparents were David I "the Saint" King of Scotland and Maud Matilda Of Northumberland; his maternal grandparents were William II de Warenne and Isabel (Elizabeth) de Vermandois. He had two brothers and four sisters, named William I "the Lion", Malcolm IV "The Maiden", Ada, Matilda, Marjory and Margaret.  He died at the age of 75 on June 17th, 1219 in Jedburgh, Roxburghshire, Scotland.  He was buried in Abbey of Saltre, , Huntingtonshire, England.


David's family with Maud de Meschines

‌David and Maud were married in a religious ceremony on August 26th, 1190 in Scotland.  They had three sons and four daughters, named Robert, Henry, John Le Scot of Huntingdon, Margaret, Isabelle, Ada Scott and Matilda.
