Maud was born in Huntington, England.  Maud's father was Waltheof Of Northumbria and her mother is Judith de Boulogne.  Her paternal grandfather was Siward Biornsson and her paternal grandmother is Aelfled (Elfleda) of Bernicia; her maternal grandparents were Lambert de Boulogne and Adelaide de Normandy.  She was an only child.  She died in 1130 in Scotland.
