George Edward was born on June 13th, 1868 in Hamburg,Freemont,IA. George Edward's father was William Coates Young and his mother was Sarah Frances McClung. His paternal grandparents were George Washington Young and Diademia Rice; his maternal grandparents were Edward McClung and Melvina Young. He had five brothers and six sisters, named Stanley Rice, Albert Russell, Oscar Seth, William John, George Washington, Mary Margaret, Rose Lee, Fannie Ethel, Rose Ellen, Lillian Mae and Nell Mabel. He was the oldest of the twelve children. He died at the age of 2 on March 8th, 1871 in Hamburg,Freemont,IA.General Notes
