Diademia's father was Jacob Rice and her mother was Catherine Higbee. Her maternal grandparents were John Higbee and Margaret Ellison. She had four brothers and five sisters, named Male, Male, Male, Male, Dulsena, Elizabeth, Roena, Euphronesia and Nancy. She died about 1845.
‌Diademia and George Washington were married in a religious ceremony on November 5th, 1831 in Shelby,IN. They had four sons and two daughters, named James, Charles R, John, William Coates, Catherine and Margaret.
