John Henry Eckman 
John Henry was born on May 6th, 1753 in Lancaster Co., PA. John Henry's father was Jerome Hieronimus Eckman and his mother was Anna Barbara Slaymaker. His paternal grandparents were Johannes Eckman and Eva Dorothea Seitz; his maternal grandparents were Mathias Schleiermacher and Catharine Schiebel. He had five brothers and five sisters, named Johannes, John Martin, John Jacob, Heieronimus, Jr., Daniel, Anna Barbara, Eva Dorothea, Mary Magdalena, Esther and Maria. He was the fourth oldest of the eleven children. He died at the age of 27 on January 15th, 1781 in Lancaster Co., PA.General Notes
