Anna Barbara was born on December 22nd, 1747 in Lancaster Co., PA. Anna Barbara's father was Jerome Hieronimus Eckman and her mother was Anna Barbara Slaymaker. Her paternal grandparents were Johannes Eckman and Eva Dorothea Seitz; her maternal grandparents were Mathias Schleiermacher and Catharine Schiebel. She had six brothers and four sisters, named Johannes, John Martin, John Henry, John Jacob, Heieronimus, Jr., Daniel, Eva Dorothea, Mary Magdalena, Esther and Maria. She was the second oldest of the eleven children. She died in Lancaster Co., PA.General Notes
