John Buffington 
John was born on January 17th, 1785 in Lancaster Co., PA. John's father was Thomas Buffington and his mother was Elizabeth Slaymaker. His paternal grandparents were Benjamin Buffington and Mary Frissell; his maternal grandparents were John Slaymaker and Elizabeth White. He had six brothers and four sisters, named Daniel, William, Henry Slaymaker, Thomas, Alexander, Benjamin, Margaret, Ann, Jane and Elizabeth. He was the second oldest of the eleven children. He died at the age of 71 in 1856.General Notes
