Alexander Buffington 
Alexander was born on July 12th, 1798 in Lancaster Co., PA. Alexander's father was Thomas Buffington and his mother was Elizabeth Slaymaker. His paternal grandparents were Benjamin Buffington and Mary Frissell; his maternal grandparents were John Slaymaker and Elizabeth White. He had six brothers and four sisters, named John, Daniel, William, Henry Slaymaker, Thomas, Benjamin, Margaret, Ann, Jane and Elizabeth. He was the third youngest of the eleven children. He died at the age of 59 in 1857.General Notes
