Thomas Ogier

Thomas was born on May 22nd, 1802 in The parish of St Sampson on the Isle of Guernsey, Channel Islands and his baptism took place on May 24th, 1802 in The parish church of St. Sampson.^1 2   His godfather was Thomas Ogier and his godmother was Ester Corbet (his wife).  Thomas' father was Jean Ogier and his mother was Marie (Mary) Trachi.  His paternal grandparents were Jean Ogier and Catherine Ogier; his maternal grandparents were Daniel Trachy and Rachel Mahy. He had three brothers and six sisters, named Jean, Daniel, Pierre, Marie, Rachel, Elizabeth, Marthe, Judith and Catherine.  He was the fifth oldest of the ten children.
