Marthe Ogier

Marthe was born on November 20th, 1803 in The parish of St Sampson on the Isle of Guernsey, Channel Islands and her baptism took place there on November 23rd, 1803.^1 2   Her godfather was Zacherie Mahy and her godmother was Mathe Ogier (his wife).  Marthe's father was Jean Ogier and her mother was Marie (Mary) Trachi.  Her paternal grandparents were Jean Ogier and Catherine Ogier; her maternal grandparents were Daniel Trachy and Rachel Mahy. She had four brothers and five sisters, named Jean, Thomas, Daniel, Pierre, Marie, Rachel, Elizabeth, Judith and Catherine.  She was the fifth youngest of the ten children.  She died at the age of 81 on April 9th, 1885.¹
